Alfred Jesus PenaFounderBorn: San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic Alfred Pena is the founder of Rhythmology. Alfred’s dancing career began in college as a member of the Cornell University ballroom dance team. He continued his training with world-class coaches Victor Kanevsky, Oksana Zolotarevskaya and Bas van der Zanden. While studying Latin, Alfred discovered Salsa, and his passion for the dance grew. He has since immersed himself in the industry as the founder of the social dance network, Rhythmology. When Alfred is not working to develop the New York and Long Island salsa scenes, he can be found competing and performing nationally. A professional Salsa and Bachata dancer, Alfred, has was featured in Prince Royce’s bachata version of Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me”. |

Aleksandra KozlowskaDance DirectorBorn: Warsaw, Poland Aleksandra “Ola” Kozlowska started her dance training in Ballroom at the age of 10. She got her training with some of the coaches in the world including Allan Tornsberg, Vibeke Toft, Paul Killick, Carmen Vincelj, Colin James, Graham Oswick, and Kenny Welsch. In her youth she represented Poland at many international competitions in the junior, youth, and amateur categories. She moved to United States in 2003 in order to pursue a professional career. Previously an international Latin professional, Ola’s focus has shifted to her professional career in Salsa and Bachata. |
